A grant from the Future Trees Trust via the RFS Forestry Roots scheme has enabled us to take on a young graduate forester as a research assistant. We’ll be working in collaboration with Dartington Estate and Sawmills Devon to research a number of key themes including the realities of managing ash dieback; future species trials and digital inventory of the coming year. Our new employee, Jonas, trained at the renowned School of Forestry at Freiburg before undertaking and Masters degree in Agroforestry at Bangor. This is a hugely exciting development for Timber Strategies to grow and move forward our agenda for research and we can’t thank the sponsors enough.
If you would like to meet us, have a coffee, a fine tea, a run, a swim or a lunch-time ride we are now based on the Dartington Estate. We are over in Blacklers, one of the original 1930’s modernist buildings designed by Lescaze.
